Ergonomics

Ergonomics can affect a person’s health, comfort, productivity, and performance in the workplace. The ergonomics program provides guidance to UCF employees and supervisors on how to identify, evaluate, and control risk factors associated with work-related musculoskeletal disorders (MSD). The goal is to adjust the workstation as much as possible to fit the person, instead of making the person fit the job. This is achieved by utilizing the most current techniques of workstation set-up, work schedule design, and equipment. Classroom and online training for workplace ergonomics and office ergonomics, as well as one-on-one consultations at the employee’s workstation, are available upon request.

Contact for questions regarding ergonomics or to coordinate one-on-one consultation.
