Hearing Conservation

The Hearing Conservation Program provides information to supervisors, superintendents, laboratory managers, principal investigators, and employees for the selection, maintenance, and use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for the ears hearing protection. This procedure was designed to help reduce employee exposure to occupational noise when other effective engineering or administrative controls are not feasible.

This program meets the requirements of the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) regulation 29 CFR 1910.95 Occupational Noise Exposure.

Contact EHS to request a noise evaluation for your area.
